If you are travelling north towards Darwin, Noonamah is the first outpost you will encounter.
Famous for the Green Tree Frog races held on Melbourne Cup Day each year at the Noonamah Tavern to raise money for local charities and have some fun.

The Tourist Park is located adjacent to the pub, and provides a wide range of accommodation, from unpowered caravan and tent sites to delux self-contained cabins. Facilities include a swimming pool but no pets are allowed.
The Tavern restaurant is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week with a bottle shop, TAB, Keno, gaming and beer garden with live music Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.
