Cyclone Tracy truly blew me away

Being only 10 when this happened I was extremely terrified!
I was the only member of my family that survived, my father had died earlier that year leaving my mum a widow to my sister and I. She worked 3 jobs and still managed to be home to see us off to bed.

Cyclone Tracy has marked my life and I will always remember finding my mum in the living room clutching my sister, both limp. By being a part of this, it has made me a very closed person. I cherish everything I have. especially my life!!
I am very lucky to be here!
