40 hp 4 stroke Yamaha outboard.

Hi Dayne, I have just bought this motor and it has cabby rouble. The motor runs but rough? I gave the carbs a clean the best I could and it seems a little better but still a bit daggy. It made a .bit of a growl noise in the leg and the top seems to be a little diff ? Wondering is it because the carbs aren’t clean properly and does it Need to be timed ? Can you have a look and tell me which way to go .sell on or spend some money?
