How dangerous is Darwin??

We're looking to move to Darwin for the rest of the year, as my husband is up there for work, but after reading about crocs and diseases like Melioidosis, I'm wondering if it's not such a good idea with two young kids.

How dangerous is it really? There seems to be a lot of you living there without any problems? :)

Isn't all Australia dangerous?

You'll be right mate just don't swim anywhere except the pools. Darwin's great. It's the heat that send most folk packing
