My Baby Tracy.

by Katherine
(Brisbane)

I remember Cyclone Tracy like it was just yesterday. It was totally unexpected. The winds were rapid, The rain was brutal and the damage of property. When the cyclone hit, the cyclone hit, looking out the window was a travesty. The sounds of metal clashing together traumatizeed me and my ex husband. I remember feeling the last kick of my unborn baby, and the last breath of my husband. He gasped, I Love You just before the cyclone reached our home. When the cyclone hit, i was flung into a group of tree's, killing my baby and breaking my spinal cord and legs. The doctors told me i would be paralized for life. Luckily i escaped the tragedy of paralization and left the storm with only one amputated leg.Although i was un-lucky aswell, facing the death of my unborn baby and husband. I returned to Darwin only three years later with my new baby Tracy and husband to find the town was totally functional again. I can never forget that day. It ruined my christmas forever.

I now have a daughter who is 34 , Her name is Tracy. My name is Katherine and this is my story.
