Wave shorebirds goodbye!
Each year around the end of March crowds gather to wave goodbye to the migratory shorebirds that have spent the wet season with us fattening up and are ready to head back to their breeding grounds, in the Arctic.
City of Darwin is also taking the opportunity to raise awareness of our bat population.
Join us for special guest speakers and tours to learn more about these remarkable small animals.
An evening of refreshments and conversation about Birds and Bats of the Top End.
Light refreshments will be available.
Date – Friday 20 March
Time: 5 – 7pm
Location: East Point Reserve (northern end, near the Shorebirds sign).
RSVP: environment@darwin.nt.gov.au
